1. What this notice covers
This policy covers the Lumashot website, mobile app, account features, ordering flow, and support channels.
2. Photos and book creation
The app asks for access to your photo library so it can create photobook drafts. Photo analysis and draft creation are designed to run on your device. Photos are not uploaded to Lumashot unless you choose to order a printed book or start an upload/export flow that requires server processing.
When you order a printed book, Lumashot uploads the selected book files, previews, and order details needed to print, fulfill, support, and improve that order.
3. Account data
If you create or use an account, we may process your authentication identifier, email address, display name, language and currency preferences, saved addresses, subscription or checkout eligibility, and communication preferences.
4. Orders and payments
For physical book orders, we process shipping and invoice details, order contents, print job status, support messages, and payment status. Card details are handled by payment providers such as Stripe and are not stored by Lumashot.
5. Analytics and communications
The app includes optional analytics controls. If you opt in, we collect product usage events such as app opens, book creation, checkout progress, and app version so we can understand reliability and improve the product. We do not sell personal data or use app data for third-party advertising tracking.
If you join the newsletter or opt in to marketing, we use your email and preferences to send launch updates and product news. You can unsubscribe at any time.
6. Service providers
We use trusted providers for hosting, database storage, authentication, payments, subscriptions, email delivery, support, file storage, analytics infrastructure, and print fulfillment. These providers process data on our behalf or as needed to complete the services you request.
7. Retention
Account preferences and saved addresses are kept while your account is active. Uploaded book/order files are kept for fulfillment, support, quality control, and legal needs. Order, payment, tax, fraud-prevention, and support records may be retained where required or reasonably necessary.
8. Your choices
You can manage photo access in iOS Settings, change app preferences in the app, unsubscribe from marketing emails, and request account deletion from the app's account settings. Account deletion removes or de-identifies account data, saved addresses, preferences, and app analytics. Some order and payment records may be retained where needed for fulfillment, refunds, tax, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
